Heimergerg

Heimergerg is a region of Malatata. It is dominanted by dry desert with few flowing rivers, and huge stone arches of rock that blot out the sun. The region has steep cliffs that jut out and overlap one another, granting cover and shade to those underneath the cliffs. The region is a proclaimed "jungle gym of rock" that is easily climable. The region is home to multiple ork clans, most notibly the Wartorn Clan, Yegorim Clan, and the Urok Clan. The region is highly contested between these three clans. The region is almsot home to giant bull worms that dig massive tunnels through the dirt which some orks call home and even ride the worms through the southern half of the region.

History

War of the River

When the orks first came to Malatata around the year 3000 1E from their possible homeland of Bescora, they arrived first in the region of Heimergerg, where the Vardux Empire had already laid claim to. The orks called upon Ilal-Bilendiuer to help them drive the Vardux empire from the land, but the god only responded that they were made with the same material his beloved elves were, and that was enough gift for them. It is because of this the orks often name Ilal-Bilendiuer the "Scorned God" for abandoning them in their time of need. The orks were able to manage to drive the Vardux Empire to the Great Arch, and conquer much of the Northern Calves, although heavy battle still raged on near the Mistwind Pleateau and the southern outskirts of the Orxder Forest. The War of the River would come to an end in the year 3075 1E after the decisive victory at Sturge, which borders the Great Savanah. This came with an ork force driving a large amount of vardux into the valley and along the bases of the cliffs. There, cyclops (who the vardux were also at war with) would come and rain down rock and stone upon the vardux, effectively crushing the forces and putting a permanent end to any hopes of them owning any land in Heimergerg or the center of the Great Savanah. The Vardux Empire was effectively pushed back into the Orxder Forest and a few surrounding lands, such as the Hills of Aubourn.
