Irians

Irians are a biped species that live on the coast of Byajul. They have the head of an anteater, with a shorter and broader trunk, and a wider face with a chin. The chin of an Irian contains one singular spike, that can reach the top of the bottom lip of the mouth of the Irian. Many Irians decorate this spike with engravings and bracelets around it. Generally, the larger and curvier the spike, the more respected and attractive the individual is. The Irians have very sharp and tall teeth, with the bottom row of teeth overlapping the top teeth. The Irians have ears that stretch down to their necks, as they droop with excess skin. Many decorations also adorn the ears of the Irians. The Irians are small in number, with no more than three hundred living on the Irian Coast. They live in a small, communal village, that stretches from the western mountains to the coast to the east. The Irians worship the mermen and mermaids as their gods. The Irians make several offerings a year to the mer, giving them valuable land food which the mer dramatically enjoys. The mer have several times manipulated the Irians into doing their bidding, and sending them to attack potential threats living in Airgona, Irians are very strong, and can take on up to twenty men.
