Kairus (Ka-Eye-Rus)

Kairus is an island that lies between Airgona, the Corsair Isles, and Kalasier. It serves as a place of rest for sailors sailing from different ports from Ashuran, Kingdom Vathgon, and others. It also is an important trade hub in the region. The island is said to be so honorable and good for business that even the pirtates from the close by Corsair Isles do not raid the sacred place. The island is crowned by the trade hub known as Coral City, due to the immense amount of coral on its flanking beaches. Some coral grew to be so large that an entire district of the city is made of the material. Coral throughout the city grows wild and arches above streets and goes through houses. On the outskirts of the city beyond the walls lies several farms. To the South East of the city, lies a vast tropical jungle full of native vegetation, animals, and fauna. One interesting locale on the island is Hyrise Peak, where a rumored powerful eagle-like creature lies. A small settlement is set up near the southern edge of the island, due to the abundance of a rare fish found nowhere else in Wold, the Kreld Coup. Several mining industries have tried to be set up on the island to inspect for ore, but none have been successful and several abandoned mines can be found on the island scattered about. Strange and somewhat magical ruins are also deep in the jungle near the western part of the island, and strangely, any who go exploring to the ruins has never come back. Another interesting phenomenon on the island is that all animals on the island eye's grow bright orange. The island is ruled by the mysterious Kip-Ciran, who rules from Coral City. Strangely though, he has never been seen.
