Precursism

Precursism is the belief that precusor civilizations were the holder of the Mantle of Responsibility. This contrasts common day belief that one of the major speices in Archtun hold the power of the Mantle of Responsibility. Members of the religion can be of any species, but those who join are often seen as mild outcasts to their respective societies.
Members of the faith often go on Relic Hunts to track down any relics left behind by precusor civilizations, such as the Kenari, the Vardux, the Enan'idra, the dragons, or the mysterious giants or precusor civilization that once ruled Archtun. They do this in order to piece together the precusor's history and prove somehow they are the true heirs to the Mantle of Responsibility.
All members of the faith must partake in a pilgrimage known as the Walk of the Old. that stretches from the Ordxer Forest, to the Kenbarna Mountains, and finally ends in Eastern Evermist. The pilgrimage takes the pilgrims through many great ruins of the fallen civilizations, and rumors are told of a settlement within the halfway point in the Kenbarna Mountains, called Evana. Here, believers temporarily rest, discuss, and worship with fellow believers away from the judgement of their families, or from being discovered by the Councilators. The Concilators have tried many times to enter the Kenbarna Mountains to find Evana, but have never succeeded.
