The Deak Desert
The Deak Desert is the largest desert in all of Wold found in Northern Airgona. It is separated in the middle of the region by the large Gial Mountains into East and West Deak, which themselves are separated into many different regions. Western Deak is separated into the subregions of Guricq, The Plains of Alam, and Zargantha, while East Deak is separated into regions such as The Great Split and Grecvo. The desert for the most part is considered to be almost inhospitable, especially the interior of the region. The Western coast of the Deak Desert was once believed to be controlled by the Province of Drakone the ancestors of the Aki during the time of the Ooend Forest, but in the early second era, as the region changed environments into the present-day Deak Desert, the kingdom fell into ruin, as evident by the ruins in the west, primarily the great city of Bezlartha, which once believed to host a lost school of magic known as Sanliver Magic.

Warriors of the Sand
On the westernmost region of the Deak Desert, primarily in the region of Zargantha, live the warrior clans known as the Akiki (sometimes referred to as the Aki). They are the surviving descendants of the Province of Drakone. They pride themselves on their armor, once turning to the age of maturity, never taking it off again except for the bathroom and eating in private. The Akiki are nomadic in nature but do create permanent villages in Zargantha, but often take great pilgrimages across the Deak Desert to visit the different locations and bless them in hopes that the Ooend Forest may return from the ground and they may recreate their ancestors' kingdom. The Akiki primarily use their own lesser version of the magic of Sanliver magic passed through their generations known as Zauau which requires both hands and involves the control of their desert environment. This is their preferred method of combat, but in dire cases they carry their double-edged swords known as Yuikorns and dragon stars as well. The Akiki also pride themselves on their mounts known as Teiqa, forming close connections with them and using them in their pilgrimages. The Akiki often do battle with the native goblins across the desert and the outlaws of the Filthy Gulf and Gial Mountains. (Pictured Above, a Teiqa)The Thieving Goblins
Goblin is a species of bipedal, small creatures known for their lack of morals, intuitive construction, and thievery. They primarily make their home in the Deak Desert in Northern Airgona. Similar to the Orks and Arks, the goblins are separated into two distinct cultures, Manic Goblins to the western Deak Desert and Brambled Goblins. Smaller sub-species of goblins also exist not only in the Deak Desert, but across Wold, such as mountain goblins, snow goblins, and marsh goblins. Goblins make it a habit to sail away from the Deak desert to separate lands of Wold to steal and rob from the different cultures across Wold. Each goblin clan has its own territory it is allowed to steal from. Territory to steal from can be acquired through force if one goblin clan goes to war with another that owns the territory they wish to steal from as well. Once their heist has finished, they return to the Deak Desert on their boats that look nothing more than floating messes of disorganized wood, where they horde and enjoy their spoils. Most goblins worship and praise the thief's moon, Corela, because of its shallow light that it gives when it hangs alone in the night sky, giving just enough light to reflect shiny items, but gives enough darkness to hide in. Most goblin raids take place during Thief's Month, during the month of Mos, when Corela hangs alone in the night sky for the duration of the entire month. The Underground Forest
"Before the sand, before the vileness of the Filthy Gulf, and before the goblins wore much clothes, stood the Ooend Forest that spanned from the Gial Mountains to the Forgotten Sea. Now, the forest has retreated into the cracks of Deak, and waits patiently for its chance to once again spring to the surface." -Sage Teller Wana of the AkikiThe Ooend Forest (Also referred to as the Underground Forest) is a forest deep within the ground of the Deak Desert, primarily on the western side of the Gial Mountains. It is known for its density and huge Ooend Trees that grow massive spiraling roots that spread for miles. Species that do not burrow to the surface now reside in this buried forest, such as massive ants, wasps, worms, and their larva.
