Wetfields

The Wetfields are the southernmost region in southern Malatata comprised mostly by a large isthmus. The region isn't exactly swamp-like yet, but transition the dry environment of Heimergerg to the north to the black swamps of Amut to the south. Few high arches of rock remain on the flatland. The weather is typically dreary and rainy, causing flooding. The Wetfields are home to some of the most savage clans of orks, such as the Thornplane Clan, Garug Clan, and Morcon Clan. Each clan is in a desperate state of war with one another in order to try and gain control of the settlement of Mirestone which lies in the middle of Wetfields. Mirestone is controlled by a group of ork shamans, known as the Keen Eyes, that have been placed specifically by the Zargal to guard their tomb. They have summoned ogres from the land to protect them from the invaders. Each ork clan believes that the shamans guard the ancient tombs of the Zargal brought from Bescora to Malatata. Clan Garug believes they would become the most powerful clan in all of Malatata if they were to control the resting place of all ork and ark ancestors, even overcoming the Amalgamate. Clan Thornplane wishes to control the resting place because of its supposed riches and wonders. Clan Morcon wishes to control the tomb because they believe they can control their ancestral spirits and gain a boon from them to force them into enslavement and help them master forbidden knowledge and spells.
