Cleric
Unlike typical ttRPGs, the cleric is not a class one can use; instead, they are gifted healers with the ability to call upon the help of the celestials in times of need when healing the sick or wounded members of the royal family. They are also known as the high medic of the royal family, and the current cleric is Marlow Tide.
Requirements
A cleric can only be named if a siren is a local native of the Asmya Kingdom and has reached the minimum age requirement of 75 years. They must have attended a noble university, Circle of Magi, which is very hard to get into; the cleric must be extremely rich to even afford to attend.
Appointment
To be appointed to the role, the former cleric must have either passed away or retired due to old age or physical disability. If they have retired, the retirement must happen during the graduation ceremony of the university, where the king of Asmya will attend the graduation ceremony and anoint the new cleric in front of everyone.
However, if the former cleric has passed away, a new cleric will be chosen from those who graduated in the same year as the former cleric. This can provide the king with a list of recommended names, in which the names are called forth and the king interviews them and watches them in practice before making a decision. Once the king makes his decision, he will hold a public ceremony known as the Cleric's Coronation for those within the medical field and the royal family.
Duties
Every cleric is best known for keeping the royal family safe from diseases, injuries, and poisons. They simply align themselves with the family, sparing no amount of loyalty. During their years as a cleric, they continuously prove themselves with randomized tests by the royal family. These tests are unpredictable but never deadly, and they often challenge the cleric to be on their toes. Discovering new ways to help the family comes in the form of potions, elixirs, and other magickal gifts.
Responsibilities
The cleric must periodically check on the royal family's medical issues, and provide mental health checkups due to the overwhelming stress the family is put under by the citizens of Asmya. They must be able to use magick to even perform any of their daily duties. Said magick must be used to test for poisons in the royal family's food or any ailments that are causing harm to their body. They must also be able to create new potions and elixirs to counteract poisons and sicknesses, while also being able to treat wounds via regular surgical tools or magick.
