Spores
Spores are a great anomaly on the Triol Islands. The populated areas often find the black fungi spores sifting through the air to be annoying and cause havoc during spring and summer. They originate from the luminous bolete, basidiocarp fungi with a bolete body, or a mushroom cap with an underside of soft spongy pores for better understanding.
Properties
Material Characteristics
The spores are ink-black in color and cluster in large groups, making it easier for people to see them. While they can be touched, it is highly not recommended; the spores act as a toxin that burns flesh. During the spring and summer seasons, settlements on the Triol Islands use solar and lunar-powered windmills to blow the spores away from the community. Straight from the source, the spores are produced from the neon purple bioluminescent undercarriage of the cap.

Life & Expiration
The spores die within a couple of days of release, often due to not finding a suitable spot to plant itself to grow another luminous bolete and continue spreading the colony. Another way for the spores to die is to come in contact with living flesh and burn the being. The release of the toxin destroys the membranes of the spore, causing the spore to be rendered useless. It is very similar to crushing a seed with a shoe; the seed would be smooshed and not able to grow.
History & Usage
Refinement
The spores must simply be collected and filtered through a synthesized spore inducer. Once filtered, the spores are able to be pressed together to create a condensed collection of the toxin. The toxin, along with a few other ingredients, is then poured into a vial and is put through a vial reconstitution mixer to completely mix the ingredients into a newfound drug capable of helping those bitten by a warped.
Hazards
The horrific toxin the spores produce can cause massive damage to the living or even the warped. The burns left behind by the toxin are strong enough to scar for life. If one is able to wash the toxin off their flesh quickly, there is sometimes no scarring left or perhaps a faint scar barely noticeable to the naked eye. If enough spores land on a person, they can die from either shock or the poisonous burns that now cover their body. Treatment is expected quickly if one has been exposed, but some are not lucky to make it to the nearest hospital.
