Assessments:

The Dominion of Clay is by far the most fascist of the countries on the continent. It frequently engages in slaving, and has a fleet smaller, but more aggressive than that of Treaq. Its citizens are the hardest and cruelest people on the continent known for being aggressive and apathetic towards the suffering of others. Clay-borne battlemages are worth their weight in gold because they will kill on command without questioning and do so in an effective and destructive way. Battlemages who were merely trained in Clay are still hardened and often cruel people. Although the average person in Clay is not a sociopath, their public image is super dark and violent, making them disliked throughout the continent.
