    The Enchanters' War
    Military: War

The Enchanters' War (1220 - 1229, Third Age)

The Enchanters', spanning from the years 1220 to 1229 of the Third Age, was a defining era of conflict that reshaped the fabric of the continent of Wolia. This cataclysmic war pitted five formidable nations—Cel, Rustian, the Whitian Empire, the Dominion of Clay, and the Principality of Fygse—against one another in a struggle for supremacy, with the potent forces of enchantment, necromancy, divination, evocation, and summoning clashing on the battlefield.

    Timeline of Key Events:

    1. 1222: Battle of Llaughei

General Marithia Eldrith, the charismatic enchantress from Cel, led her forces to victory through a masterful illusionary ruse. She deceived the illusionists of Treaq, using enchantments to manipulate their perception and lure them into treacherous terrain. The battle ended in the routing of Treaq's forces, securing an early advantage for Cel.

    2. 1224: Siege of the Amsenil's Starlit Citadel

High Seer Calista Sylvestra of the Whitian Empire, a visionary divination wizard, utilized her clairvoyance to predict Rustian and Cel's impending attack. Armed with knowledge of the enemy's plans, the defenders launched a formidable counterattack, foiling the invaders' scheme and achieving a decisive victory.

    3. 1225: The Shattered Sky

Archmage Darian Emberheart of the Dominion of Clay, a master of evocation magic, invoked a cataclysmic magical storm above the occupied cities of Draumesiqua. Lightning and fire rained down, decimating the city and its inhabitants. This brutal evocation displayed Emberheart's mastery over raw elemental forces. Tens of thousands died in a matter of hours, most of whom were innocent civilians. The Principality of Fygse has been unable to pressure the Dominion of Clay to return control of the city, which has decayed into a cesspit of violence and decay.

    4. 1226: Cataclysm at Clay's Cauldron

In retaliation to Darian Emberheart's devastating attack, Sovereign Elara Nightshade of the Principality of Fygse led a concerted assault on Clay's forces. This act of "friendly fire" prolonged the war signficantly. Nightshade's mastery of summoning magic allowed her to command otherworldly beings and channel their chaotic energies. The ensuing battle crippled Clay's military capabilities, leaving Fygse victorious.

    5. 1228: The Veiled Plague

As tensions escalated, Cel's enchanters, under the leadership of General Eldrith, resorted to heinous tactics. Using cursed illusionary amulets, they plunged the population of Treaq and Fygseinto madness through terrifying hallucinations. This psychological warfare sowed chaos, undermining Rustian's resolve and fracturing its ranks.

    Summary

The Enchanters' War, spanning nine tumultuous years, serves as a stark reminder of the grave consequences of unchecked ambition and the power of arcane magic. The battles, led by influential generals and marked by instances of war crimes, left an indelible mark on history, reshaping borders and the geopolitical landscape. The echoes of this war continue to reverberate, a cautionary tale of the perilous path that the unchecked pursuit of power can lead to.
