Blue Squirrel Monkey
The Blue Squirrel Monkey is one of the most common animals on the main island. roughly the size of a squirrel, the squirrel monkey has greyish blue fur and a bushy tail. The squirrel monkey is not very afraid of humans and is known for stealing and being all around pests. Their cute demeanor take them only so far, with new residents to Woodangees often find themselves tiring of the creatures only a few months into their stay.
Blue Squirrel Monkeys are known to swarm city centers, especially during tourist season, when they know they can get easy food from foreigners since locals for the most part won't give them anything. The blue squirrel monkey has to a degree become a symbol of Woodangees wildlife, with it being the most well known Woodangian animal to the outside world.
The blue squirrel monkey has many natural predators, including the Niccadia Pygmy Caimen, the Ontangian Python, sometime even the large Titan Frog, and any other large predatory animal on the island.

Ecology and Habitats
Blue squirrel monkeys prefer high tree tops of the rainforest but will settle for anything that suspends them above the ground.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Squirrel monkeys are mostly herbivorous, eating berries and small fruit, but are known to supplement with insects and other foods when necessary.
Behaviour
Blue squirrel monkeys often travel in small groups of between 4 and 7, and will often venture into inhabited areas.

Conservation Status
The Blue Squirrel Monkey is not currently considered endangered. That being said it is highly illegal to attempt to remove a blue squirrel monkey from Woodangees.
