Pipe
Pipes are used throughout Woodangees by citizens to consume cannabis, also know as marjuana or weed, a dried flower smoked as a recreational drug by people all over the world. Pipes can and are also used to consume other smokable herbs such as tobacco, sage, and the narcotic opium. Pipes are a very big part of Woodangian culture.
Pipes come in many shapes and sizes, from the traditional tobacco style pipe made from wood, to elaborate glass water pipes, knows as bongs, and even more ornate hookahs, large water pipes with hoses coming off to smoke from, primarily used to smoke shisha, a mixture of tobacco, fruits, oils, and herbs.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The pipe is made up of various parts. The first and most important is the bowl, where dried plant matter is placed to be smoked. there is usually some sort of stem for the smoke to travel through and a mouth piece. some pipes are known as water pipes, which means they have a chamber that is filled with water and sometimes also ice cubes. the purpose of the water is to filter the smoke, cooling it down and preventing ash and other more solid particles from getting into your mouth and lungs. The water also helps to cool down the smoke, making it easier on the lungs, this is also the purpose of adding ice cubes to the water. Some pipes, such as Hookahs, have hoses coming off for users to smoke from.
There are also specialized pipes used for smoking different things, such as a dab rig, which is a specialized water pipe similar to a bong but that has what is known as a nail or banger instead of a bowl, which is heated using some sort of blow torch and then used to smoke "dabs" or small amounts of cannabis concentrate known as hash, coming in various styles based on how the cannabis had been processed.
