Woodangian Dwarf Elephant
The Woodangian Dwarf Elephant is the smallest living species of elephant on earth, measuring roughly 3 - 3.5 feet tall when fully grown. The Dwarf Elephant was considered a symbol of the royal family before the collapse of the monarchy, and are still considered a symbol of national pride. The Environmental Conservation Organization is responsible for their conservation and protection, and goes to great lengths to do so.
The Dwarf Elephant was featured on the old royal family crest and is still used as a symbol by various organizations and even as the mascot of the Rotelkon Tuskers hockey team, and also being featured on the k50 coin.

Ecology and Habitats
The Dwarf Elephant herds travel all across the main island of Woodangees, though seemingly preferring the rainforest areas over the swamps most of the time, Dwarf Elephants all converge to an area of the swamps in Niccadia for mating season.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Dwarf Elephants are herbivores, consuming pounds of vegetation every day. the elephants travel in herds all over the island, sometimes jamming traffic or wondering into inhabited areas.
Behaviour
Dwarf Elephants have somewhat become used to humans, in part due to constant contact with humans acting in conservation roles. As a result dwarf elephants are known to approach humans, although touching the elephants can be enought to land you in hot water with ECO.

Conservation Status
The Woodangian Dwarf Elephant is considered a national symbol and is therefore a protected species. Great lengths are taken to ensure the safty of the known herds that travel across Woodangees. ECO troops can often be seen with the herds, ensuring their safety. Any poacher caught attempting to cause harm to a Dwarf Elephant is often simply shot on sight.
