Industry & Trade
Wünenburg is a highly industrial city, being home to several factories and other such facilities. Wünenburg is one of the richest provinces in Woodangees due to it's production power, being home to such a large chunk of Woodangian manufacturing power that when it was occupied by invading forces during the Breakfast Wars the country's ability to respond was severely hit, and was a major factor leading to the guerrilla style tactics adopted by the Woodangian Army.
History
Wünenburg has a long history, the first settlers to the Woodangees landed around modern Wünenburg, on the eastern coast of the main island, there may have been older settlements but none have survived. Wünenburg has been a seat of power and influence for centeries, with a high lord of Wünenburg becoming the first King of Niccadia, and a Niccadian King eventually forming the unified nation of Woodangees.
Wünenburg's history exists as scars in its landscape, old gothic structures surrounded by concreate tell tales of the cities prior destruction. Burned at the hands of the now defunct Deamonia and Sluggica three separate occasions and occupied for 6 years by a brutal and hostile force in the 1950's during most of the Breakfast War, during which much of it's historic landmarks were torn down and destroyed, Woodangees has never forgiven this act. Wünenburg was the largest and most important city occupied during the Breakfast War, and was the hardest fought to recapture.
Architecture
Modern Wünenburg has a heavy focus on Brutalist architecture, while old Wünenburg had a mostly gothic aesthetic, of which remanent can be found, but the city has been sacked and rebuilt several times over the years.
