Giustinian was one of the landowners who, in the second half of the nineteenth century , started the process of drainage and reclamation of the valleys and marshes of the Basso Piave . The Giustinian private reclamation, called "La Guizza", took place in 1870 and included 150 hectares in the municipality of San Donà di Piave.
