Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Mister Gaunt has Marfan syndrome, a genetic disorder of the connective tissue. It manifests most obviously in him as excessive thinness, extraordinary height, elongated extremities, and a sunken chest.

Body Features

Charles is quite flexible due to his sluagh nature and hypermobile joints. However those same joints will sometimes be quite painful due to his build and cold weather.

Facial Features

Large asymmetrical eyes, next to no nose, and a closely trimmed black beard. If needed he has been known to use a monocle for closer examination of minute items. While striking, the man is ugly.

Identifying Characteristics

Mister Gaunt is easily identifiable due to his height and build. He is also missing his left pinky finger.

Apparel & Accessories

In his fae mien Mister Gaunt prefers black or charcoal Victorian suits, frequently still somewhat dusty with cobwebs.

Contacts & Relations

Charles has extensive contacts throughout the dark web, but he most frequently interacts with his hacker collective and a gentleman he refers to as his "Facilitator."  For more occult matters Charles keeps deceased NOLA homicide detective Vergil LeBlanc on retainer.  Charles is well-regarded by several notable members of the local Shadowlands as well.

Family Ties

None.  Charles of course has two parents, although they have sadly lost all memory of him due to the Mists.

Religious Views

Mister Gaunt regards himself as a necessary evil that preys on unnecessary evils.  He suffers no illusions that he is a good person and satisfies himself with accomplishing good ends.  On the Day of Judgement, whatever form it may take, it is his hope that he is the last cast down to suffer with those he sent down before him.  Until then, Charles will accumulate knowledge and resources to survive Winter and improve Concordia.

Social Aptitude

Charles is more social than the traditional sluagh but is certainly no better at it.  He is quick to take offense, but he will also forgive should a suitable apology be offered.  He does not suffer fools gladly.

Hobbies & Pets

Mister Gaunt very much enjoys pets and little children.  He has recently taken up taxidermy and is attempting to learn French.

Why would one use a small simple word to express a basic sentiment when one could use unnecessarily obscure words and obtuse phrasing to inform the person of the requested information along with their inherent inadequacy compared to one's self?

Wealth & Financial state

Mister Gaunt is comfortably off.  He has quite a bit of money indeed, but it is scattered across the world and internet in various currencies of various liquidity.  If he ever needs more money than he has on him,  Charles will normally hack and rob an ATM.

Exceedingly thin, painfully tall, and uncomfortably capable, Mister Gaunt is a sluagh who gets the job done. Unattractive even for his kind, he demands courtesy if not respect. He has fingers in many pies with a focus on computers and information.
