Demihuman Subraces

Like humans, each race of demihumans has a number of subraces with varying appearances, cultures, and temperaments.  

Elves

Made up of five distinct sub-races, Elves are far and away the most populous and diverse of all the demihuman races in the Flaeness, living anywhere from dense forests to mountainsides to even underwater.  

Dwarves

The dwarves are divided into two groups of two, hill and mountain dwarves who live both above and underground, and the duergar and derro (both collectively referred to as the "gray dwarves") who live exclusively in caverns far below the earth.  

Gnomes

Gnomes are typically classified by where they make their home. While the "surface gnomes", the Rock and Forest gnomes, are widely known and common in the Flaeness, the deep gnomes make their homes far below the surface, away from the eye of the surface races.  

Halflings

Comprised of three subraces, halflings have no home of their own, instead living among other races in harmony wherever they can.
