Felin
Catlike in both appearance and nature, these demi-humans are considered to be at the outer edge of what the term encompasses.
Basic Information
Anatomy
With a vaguely human-shaped torso and long arms that can double as legs to allow faster running, the felin is without a doubt the least "human" in appearance of all currently known demi-humans. Their long, flexible tails allow them to maintain balance, and their feline hind legs give them the extra spring needed to spring forward at a moment's notice.
Additional Information
Facial characteristics
Felin facial features greatly resemble those of a cat. With large triangular ears atop the head and a short muzzle complete with fangs, they are as feline as they come. Even their irises are capable of narrowing to slits in bright light.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Felins possess all the sensory capabilities of a true feline, though some night-vision is sacrificed in favour of being able to see the full rainbow of colours on the light spectrum.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
Felin often name their children in short phrases or in a combination of a verb or adjective and a noun. Little is known about what significance there is to these names in felin culture, but one's name is considered to be something of great importance. Once a felin cub reaches 3 months of age, a naming ceremony is held and the cub is properly considered a member of the tribe.
If a felin finds as they grow older that their current name does not suit them, they can have a new naming ceremony take place wherein they choose a name that they feel better suits them.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
An interesting trait of felins is that their fur markings can resemble those of either a feline native to their area or those of a domestic house cat. Colours range from white to black, shades of brown, and even orange
