Cedar Hill (Ruins)
The ruins of the village of what was once Cedar Hill, are all in horrible shape—many structures having long ago collapsed in on themselves. Sometimes, only a short, moss-covered wall is the only sign of the ruins. While there may have once been a tall protective wall of stout stone surrounding the village, only a few sections peek out of the murky stagnant waters. Nature has reclaimed many of the buildings within the ruins; reeds, lily pads, and pond weeds sprout everywhere. Gaunt willow and sycamore trees rise like moldering skeletons from the muck-covered ground. Scattered throughout the ruin, ghastly sights of what were once the townsfolk, can be seen. Frozen in time by the preserving peat of the swamp itself. Closer you look, you can make out the faces of terror, gaping mouths that once produced shrill screams of horror. Some still holding their families. The air is thick, and pools of green water dot the town, they bubble with intensity, and smell like rotting meat. No wind blows here, and because of this, the fog of the hollow has settled even thicker. The moss has overgrown all signs of civilization as it sits hedgehog-like over the stones, softly hibernating, gently green. Only a few structures stand vertical, the columns were the only complete thing left of what you assume was a church, everything else had worn and crumbled - their decay the only marker of time in a place of uncounted days.
