Fafnheir, Father of Linnorms
Said to be the mightiest and oldest linnorm of them all, dreaded Fafnheir lairs deep in the forest. Fafnheir has long been a lure for would be linnorm-slayers, for it is said that whoever returns with his head will unite the clans of Breovan under one rule and bring about an age of unity. Most notably, Fafnheir used to live within a deep underwater cove off the coast of Breovan where he preyed upon the longships of warriors and fishermen. Since then, Fafnheir hasn't been seen since 1211, when he crawled from the deep forest and laid waste to hundreds of homesteads, killing thousands. Then abruptly, it fled back to its lair. Many warriors attempted to venture into the forest, only to never return. It is said that whom ever slays him, will in turn become Fafnheir, making it an endless immortal creature.
