Forming of Alamor and The Bloodhide War
The founding of Alamor is a debatable occurrence. It is difficult to separate the factual from the fantastical. In the second year after the Sundering, men began to travel away from the foothills and villages of Tel Morath. They moved south, acting as nomads for many years until they came across a brilliant countryside. Green and bright, with rolling hills and sparkling rivers. Valleys filled with plentiful food and future prosperity. However, it soon was apparent that this land was already occupied by foul beasts. The first Alamorian villages were burnt to the ground by great winged dragons, caravans and hunting parties were cut down by scores of Orc hordes. Dozens of tribes existed in Alamor, the Bent Bonebiters, and the Blackbite Horde to name just a few. In the twelfth year, a mighty Orc chieftain rose, Gorgutz Bloodhide, he united the clans and hordes into a single massive host. It is said that Mythris itself shook under the iron boots of the Orcs that swept across the country. It wasn't until a famed warrior of Man stood up, Fenris Alamora. He was an unlikely hero in that dark time, he was neither tall, nor strong, and not particularly honorable either. In fact, Fenris was a thieving brigand. However, he was able to convince the Warlords of Man that he could kill Gorgutz. The Warlords agreed, for the payment to be delivered to Fenris should he succeed, was that Fenris would be crowned King of all the land.
The rest of the story is rather faint at this time, but it is agreed that somehow Fenris did manage to kill Bloodhide. Some say by martial combat, others by poison. Regardless, the death of Gorgutz once again led the Orcs on a path of self destruction. The Orc warlords fought one another for control of the horde, but alas, all that happened was more than a dozen tribes fighting against one another, right then and there. The aftermath of the battle, in what is now known as the Tearsong Valley, was awful to behold. An estimated twenty five thousand, perhaps more were dead. Dwindling the population of Orcs in Alamor to a point they would never recover. By the winter of the 13th year, peace was restored, and the Warlords of Man upheld their honor begrudgingly. Fenris Alamora was crowned king, and the country to be was named in his honor.
