Foulthings

Nasty little fey creatures that prey on the young skin of children, only, the skin. Children have been found alive, with their entire leg or arm chewed of all skin down to exposed muscle. Foulthings have a very sensitive sense of smell, and hate the smells of incense and burning oils, many Vedanias burn oils or incense to keep them away. As with most monsters of this sort, silver works well, the richest Vedanians are known to embed silver into window and door frames to keep them away.
