The Gray Slough

Hundreds of square miles of swamp, moor, hedges, and craggy hillocks. The Gray Slough is filled with orc tribes, Troll clans, and all sorts of foul beasts. Its a near impassible wasteland, and without a guide, one could be lost walking in circles until death. Quicksand pits swallow unaware travelers, and the water is collected in shallow stagnant pools that are toxic to anything but creatures. It contains old ruins from the past civilization of Elves and the fortresses of The Draugrwulf. The Gray Slough dominates the Moors a swamp on the high plateau. The Slough is foggy and travellers that have ventured through it swear that the landscape itself tries to make you lose your way. Everyone else besides giants and trolls have difficulty crossing it, particularly because the swamp’s giant insects zero in on trespassers.
