The Weald, No Mans Land

The Weald is a massive stretch of rolling hills and sparse woods, home to nasty creatures and brigand camps. The road from Wolfholme to Shadow Sted, is aptly named "The Devils Tail" for its danger and treacherous denizens. Shadow Sted rarely sees visitors because of this stretch of land, and many times people have tried to settle in the Wealds hills, all to fail by death. During the winter it is impassible, the shabby roadway is covered by two feet of snow, and the hills freeze to ice, to cross in the winter is sure death, and not many places along the road serve as good shelter. Whatever shelter you may find in the winter months, will surely be taken by bandits, or monsters.
