Wood Elves
The Wood Elven race was born when the Sundering occurred. These Elves were unsatisfied with their races need to wage war, and so they retreated to more wild and natural places of the world. Seemingly overnight, thousands of High Elves left Tel Morath and their great cities they once called home. They found refuge within The Sleepwood, the first forest of Mythris, where Ehlonna awoke the first tree with the song of the world, this tree was named Obad-Hai. Obad-Hai lies at the center of this ancient forest, and protects those creatures within his boundaries. When the Elves first entered the wood, they were beset on all sides by treants, dryads, treemen and powerful beasts of the forest, all trying to defend the forests unsullied land. After a few short skirmishes the Elves begged for peace, and in tern where forgiven for their trespasses, so long as they adhered to the Way of the Wood. An ancient doctrine laid down by the creatures of the wood.
It wasn't long before the overwhelmingly powerful spirit of the forest began to warp the High Elves. Making their skin tougher, and their footsteps lighter. The magic of Fey became intertwined with the Elves spirit, and some Elves changed in more drastic ways, growing antlers of hooves, leaves for hair, or bark for skin. Those more changed Elves became known as the Wodenara, or Wayguardians.
