The crops of Vedania wilted and died, witches become the scapegoat.
The Witching Trials In 658, the crops of the fledgling nation wilted and died. The scapegoat was blamed on Witchcraft. Lynch mobs of 'Witch Hunters' formed throughout the countryside, hundreds were wrongly accused and burned at the stake, or beheaded immediately. The Witching Trials died off over the following decades, but returned not long after. Witchcraft to this day is still considered evil, and true witches disguise themselves in fear. For over a decade, innocent witches burned.
