War against the Dread King

In 211 PS (pre-sundering). The people within Tel Morath were beginning expansion across the seas. It was at this time, man ventured south. It was then that they had discovered the cursed evil lands of the Dread King. An undead fey ruler that had enslaved the Lady of the Lake. House Pendragon, House Val’ianie, elves, and the mercenary band the Grudgebringers ventured into the lands intent to cleanse the land and purify the countryside. A brutal war against the Dread King ensued. Commander Bernhardt of the Grudgebriners was the one to strike the final blow. Although the Dread King survived the initial battle, his crippled body was found among the dead by Bernhardt, who ended the Dark Lord's unlife with his magical Dolorous blade. Legend says that for his victory, the lady of the lake turned Bernhardt into the Green Knight, to serve her faithfully for eternity. This is just a legend though. The founding of Foridia is celebrated on the fifth month on the nineteenth day.
