By Hook and By Crook - Part II

As play time ends in the Home Underground, Peter Pan rolls out a tactical map on the "ever growing" stump that the Lost Boys cut down everyday to form an inpromptu table.

The Plan

• assault the Jolly Roger at night from above by giving the PCs the ability to fly via pixie dust provided by Tinkerbell
• Peter Pan will try to cajole one of the crocodiles spawn in order to strike fear into Captain Hook
• Peter's goal is to embarrass the captain in front of Smee and his crew - the cursed nature of the pirates makes killing them next to impossible

The Execution

• Peter Pan is delayed while trying to steer the crocodile leaving the PCs to fend for themselves for a few rounds
• Bruce and Django try to make it the crows nest, Pejab heads for a mast to take out a sail (hoping to have it fall on a masse of pirates below) while the others keep their distance (to swoop in when needed or provide ranged support)
• to the players surprise they discover there are three giant spitting spiders hiding among the rigging

The Battle

• at first the PCs seem to have the advantage but are damaged by the spiders ranged webs and spitting poison
• a couple of rounds of back and forth
• the pirate crew out of range either begin to climb masts to reach players or run toe "Long Tom" their ridiculously large main deck cannon to load it
• Smee tries to rally the pirates through his bardic abilities
• Peter Pan and Cpt. Hook duke it out - the players can tell they're evenly match
• One of Peter Pans abilities is the ability to mimic any vocal ability - so he uses it to mimic the rally of Smees but directed at the PCs
• the PCs begin to act extremely strategically: Django uses magical gusts of wind to knock spiders (once getting multiple opponenet in one fell swoop)and pirates off of the masts,
• Pejab cut down a sail and though doesn't entangle any pirates does knock one down
• Yvaine and Jaana act as support casting spells and aid others
• Bruce and Den score several hits as ranged artillery
• Pejab is endangered as he is about to be overun by pirates and a spider climbing the mast - these are eventually repelled by him and his comrades
• Freya casts a spark spell to ignite the cannon prematurely foiling the first attempt
• the pirates second attempt with "Long Tom" ends up damaging Den and Jaana with scatter shot - knocking both out sending them into the drink
• by this time the Crocidile spawn finally arrives totally demoralizing Hook and his crew
• The pirates raise a supernatural fog around the Jolly Roger and begin to flee as the PCs save Den and Jaana from drowing
• both parties make a hasty retreat - another draw in the never ending battle between Hook and Pan
