Capital

WHAT IS CAPITAL Capital is another form of wealth which characters can have measure in points. The forms of capital are: Goods, Influence, Labor and Magic.   It helps measure things that are either intangible but valuable or used as a lump value for many things (i.e. if you own a curio shop you can put capital to represent the many items, employees and magic items in the shop as opposed to have an exhaustive list).   Capital is usually gained through two means: downtime activity and as a reward during an adventure.   Note it may be impossible to spend capital if down time is spent in an environment that wouldn't take advantage of such things.   WHAT CAN I DO WITH CAPITAL   Add bonus to skill checks Can grant a character a +1 bonus to certain skills rolls (listed below) by spending capital. This can be done multiple times to a maximum of a +5 bonus.   Per 10 Goods: Appraise, Bluff, Craft, Diplomacy, Disable Device, Handle Animal, Intimidate, Knowledge (dungeoneering, engineering, geography, history, local, nature, nobility, religion), Profession, Sleight of Hand, Stealth.   Per 15 Influence: Appraise, Bluff, Craft, Diplomacy, Handle Animal, Heal, Intimidate, Knowledge (any), Linguistics, Perform, Profession, Ride.   Per 10 Labor: Bluff, Climb, Craft, Diplomacy, Handle Animal, Intimidate, Knowledge (local), Profession, Ride, Survival, Swim.   Per 25 Magic: Appraise, Craft, Diplomacy, Heal, Knowledge (arcana, dungeoneering, nature, planes, religion), Linguistics, Profession, Spellcraft, Use Magic Device.   Convert into Gold (or Vice Versea)   Can be done at a rate of 2:1.   Purchases Prestige Points   Spend 30 days of down time to convert 1000 capital (any type) into 1 prestige point.   Purchase Hirelings, Vehicles or Buildings   Capital coverts at 25% higher (i.e. if you spend 100 capital for a hireling, vehicle or building it counts as 125 gold pieces).   Purchase Build Points Spend 10 days down time and 2000 capital to get 1 build point. NOTE: Build points are used in kingdom building (and might not be a factor in your campaign).
