The Bough can be used to produce capital in any form. When used this way it devalues the Bough itself (as the more you use it, the less cache it has).
The Bough can also be used to purchase prestige points which can only be used in relation to the affiliation of the Golden Bough.  Each point takes away 450 value from the item.
Finally, it can be sold outright for half of its capital value.

Significance

Symbol of the organization by the same name. The bough represents the thieves guild of Bogstown/Woodfall and the fact they they are both defenders of nature as well as outlaws who covet the gold of the Oligarchs.
