Trail Master
Qualifications
To be considered a Trial Master, one must have completed the Romation Dwarven Trials, not just once. They would have to complete it a total of 5 times. Each time they would have had to create a new weapon and come up with new and different strategies.
Requirements
Some primary requirements to have even if you meet all the qualifications. One has to be a Dwarf and in good standing with the King and/or Romation Councillors. They also need to be Master Craftsmen of their artisian style. Something remarkable should have come out of their crafted works to benefit all of Romation.
Appointment
Duties
The trial master has many duties. First, they must train the local military power in proper martial combat. They must also be aware of many rumblings in the Realm of Romation. This also includes some rumblings of what is happening with the Kingdom of Mount Roma. They also have a duty to the Romation Dwarven Trials and to make sure they are successful. Lastly, the trial master is the lead security and safety personnel. They are in charge of making sure all shifts are full for a watch.
Responsibilities
Anytime an outsider comes from the surface city of Mount Roma, the trial master or one under their employee needs to greet the guest. This is done for the safety of all those the Trial Master has to protect. They are also responsible for overseeing all Trials in the Forge of Honor "Trials" Quarter.
Benefits
One of the main benefits is that this title lifts your Dwarven Clan to be eligible to live in the Upper Ring District of Romation. This is a wonderful perk because if their clan was not as high in class as those that live in the upper ring, they had a hard life. Another benefit is their Shadow position on the Council of Mt Roma. With that, they are heavily compensated by free meals and lodging.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Only one can be the Trial Master at any given time. Some are training to be, but they are not a true Trial Master. The appointment would be for life; however, if one was to abuse the title, it could lead to devastating consequences. It could mean massive dishonor to their dwarven clan to even call for death. In some cases, their family name has immense honor without them. They would be revoked of all titles and honors to be part of their dwarven clan.
Notable Holders
Ziva Battlehammer is the current holder of this title. To earn this title, he was the main reason the Harmony Aqueduct & Cleaning system flows through Romation. Previously the water flowed through wooden channels and didn't have an adequate water supply for all Romation's needs. By creating this aqueduct system, water flows through the city without any change in supply. The water is routinely cleaned and recycled with fresh water from Loch Ren. He was asked to produce such a wonder by the previous holder Kacheem "Flint" Fizzpebble. When presenting the finished construction project to Dinod Ironfist, Kacheem "Flint" Fizzpebble attempted to take all the credit. Ziva Battlehammer looked at Kacheem "Flint" Fizzpebble and explained how the recycling process works for the water flow. Kacheem "Flint" Fizzpebble looked back and said, "My magic, of course." That is when Ziva Battlehammer said, "That's a load of shit; it is fed via gravity and laminar flow from pipes connected to Loch Ren's shoreline."
This led to Dinod Ironfist stripping Kacheem "Flint" Fizzpebble and providing the title to Ziva Battlehammer. Kacheem "Flint" Fizzpebble was lucky he wasn't completely outcasted from society. However, his wife left him, and his daughter doesn't trust him anymore. So he spends his time in a drunken stupor outside of the trial bar.
