Cosmonaut

The Cosmonaut Tribe is one of the newest tribes to emerge in the world. Unlike the other tribes, Like-minded members of tribes of the various tribes who contemplated space travel formed the Cosmonaut tribe. Cosmonauts are a rare tribe that invites other tribe members from different parts of the world to engage in their unique talents and imaginations with the inclination towards space travel. Citizens worldwide see the city of Tynda as a special place, like Camelot, where common ground is seen across all tribal differences because all tribal members have this bonding idea of imagining life in space. Now two generations old, it constitutes the unique character of the compact megacity of Tynda, making it a cosmopolitan city of great depths.   Cosmonaut tribe’s collective dream is to explore space, and presently, they are researching options to launch in outer space employing alternative energies. In the past, rocket fuel was derived from petroleum products and had disastrous environmental effects. So, the Tynda research and development circle pioneers alternative energy sources that are sustainable and clean for the environment and can break the earth’s orbit. Tribe members, especially from the Cyberion tribe, have been particularly adroit at tackling this question.   The Cosmonaut tribe collaborates closely with the Sunjammer tribe, informing their culture of envisioning Cosmonauts becoming Sunjammers of the stars. Much inspired by the TV show Star Trek, there is an aspiration of a spaceship in space traveling to the unknown region of the galaxy to learn more about worlds beyond our world. Indeed, one area of naval navigation, submarine travel, is a necessary stepping stone for the applicants, especially those interested in space travel. Joining the Cosmonaut Space travelers circle requires several accrued hours in deep sea submarine operations to be considered a valid space traveler candidate.   Pilots are another option for space travelers as pilots from various cities are selected for the space travelers program. Especially welcome are the pilots and crews of transporter ships traveling in and out of the deadlands. Many former crews come together to work and eventually move to Tynda and the Cosmonaut Tribe for their famous space training program.   From their research and development efforts, Tynda has created many products not just for space travel but for everyday life as well. However, one point of tension is the material and process employed to develop the various materials for outer space travel. Tynda is infamously a pollution site as the byproducts of material products are toxic to the planet. At barrel sites, the first upcoming program is the journey to Mercury to launch these products on the lifeless world. Holding an all-around temperature of 354 degrees, eventually, they theorized that these toxic products would break down on the surface quicker than if left on earth. This program has been the only saving grace towards the accumulation of toxic materials on the planet with the eventual release of these chemicals onto Mercury or, perhaps, the sun.

History

The Cosmonaut Tribe started as a small Cyberion House 100 years ago, focusing on space exploration. The Cyberion member's name was "Hermann Ludwig," who traveled with the Sunjammers for most of their life and was also an astrophysicist and Astronomer. The story goes that Hermann was on the sea stargazing when the stars on the waters were incredibly bright and prominent. It was as if he was sailing through a sea of stars. This experience profoundly impacted Ludwig as the vision of sailing across the stars became the primary aspiration of his life, which is how House Cosmos and the members of House Cosmos (Cosmonaut) can be. The House expanded in members through sheer word of mouth as members from various tribes came together under the vision of space exploration.   The vision of space exploration started on Cyberion. Still, twenty years later, with an effort from the Tynda circle, they desired to invest heavily in space technology, already known for its robust Sunjammer culture. Tydna's aspiration to be the space hub of the world made incentives for those who were members of House Galaxy to move to Tynda, and Herman Ludwig accepted it. In the years following, the idea of ships going into outer space grew from that small House in Cyberil to now, though the smallest, one of the most dedicated tribe members in the world.   The central philosophy of the House is founded on the dominant paradigm of the world of tomorrow: The Lifestyle Paradigm. The pillars of Holacractic governance, time banking and Lifestyle practice are the philosophical heart of House Cosmonaut. Hermann Ludwig found inspiration from heroes such as David Thoreau, Magellan, Elon Musk, Peter Higgs, John F. Kennedy, and Gene Rodenberry. Rodenberry, in particular, captured his imagination of what this future cultural aspect of the tribe will be like. This adherence to voluntary cooperation, nonviolent conflict resolution and retaining the right of self-defense, dignity and respect for all life forms has a Buddhist ethical basis with it. Ludwig understood that Roddenberry's aim in humankind's quest for enlightenment would be the banishment of racism, superstition, conflict, and poverty when you followed the events of his show. Ludwig observed the world of Elysia and foresaw how we were inching close to achieving that dream and wanted to take the best vision of that aspiration and bring it into the House.

Execution

Cosmonauts undergo a traditional round-the-world sail, which lasts one year to submerge them into the travel through space. They travel across the sea and may opt for a portion of their travel to be underneath the sea. Submarine travel is an option and the next step to space travel as they wear underwater piezosuits and swim under the water. This is a tradition for all Cosmonauts as they form deeper ties with Sunjammer and Wavejammers and prepare themselves for deep space travel.   It is during these voyages that they sharpen their technical capacities as well as teamwork practices. Cosmonauts segway into the intricacies of spacecraft design, landing systems, rocketry, and aerodynamics. The Cosmonaut tribe follows Cyberion and superior culture, placing a lot of emphasis on targeting exceptional people who desire space travel early on.   The Cosmonaut tribe is not merely for those who are interested in space travel but for those who desire to learn all things about the activities of space outside of Earth. From Xenobiologists to propulsion systems scientists, the tribe forms a small, close-working family orbiting space-centric activities. All these interest areas come together in an integrated direction toward space exploration across all levels of research and application.   Holacratic practice provides the foundational management structure with systems drills adopted to cause the teams to become accustomed to different management styles. The structure is as follows.   S3 (Green) is a standard holacratic structure, the default where humans relate to each other freely with the option of not communicating through their roles.   S2 (Yellow) is where the ship only undergoes a worldwide organizational role-role relationship dynamic. The clarity across the entire boat holds this relationship between roles rather than individuals, and it is usually reserved when the situation demands a focused adaptive engagement with what is occurring amongst the crew.   S1 (Red) is a militaristic engagement where rep roles are frozen in their authority and lead link roles exclusively push down commands to be executed. This militaristic engagement is reserved when the organization comes into contact with enemy combatants; quick action and adaptation are needed.   These various system settings help the organization adapt clearly and quickly to environmental circumstances.

Components and tools

The thin spacesuits that Cosmonauts use charge not only their weaponry but also their telecommunications devices. Their colors are mostly black with silver streaks throughout the suit, which are brightly when placed against the backdrop of space. A separate spacesuit acts as an outer suit for the ships.
