Triumph Village

The Village of Triumph Base Map Image
The village of Triumph sits north of damnlands that was once the U.S.A. Triumph hybrid functions, blending farming and residential, public and commercial spaces on a small-scale village level. Citizens of Triumph observe vertical axis wind generators between their biotecture buildings harnessing energy for the residents. In the future, they look forward to installing a carbon capture collectors system siphoning smog from the city air wafting from the Damnlands.   Triumph is the first fully sustainable city that uses biotecture as its city planning concept. Earthship Biotecture: self-sufficient and sustainable architecture for people and planet. Designs constantly evolved, incorporating thermal mass, passive solar energy and natural ventilation to respect the environment and counteract climate change through architecture. The resulting project was the Earthship, pioneered by the past architectural sage Michael Reynolds. His legacy was the Earthship, an autonomous, self-sufficient house built with natural and recycled materials with energy conservation in mind. Earthships are designed to produce water, electricity, and food for their use. Earthships are defined by six basic design principles, all of which take advantage of the existing natural phenomena of the earth: building with raw and repurposed materials, using thermal and solar heating and cooling, solar- and wind-generated electricity, water harvesting, containing sewage treatment and self-sustained food production.   This vessel that we call the Earthship, addresses six essential aspects for existence and survival worldwide: comfortable shelter with no use of fossil fuel, natural-sourced electricity generation, water harvesting, treatment of sewage onsite, garbage and food production.
