Snow Elves are an ancient and reclusive subrace of elves that have adapted to life in the frigid and remote regions of the world. They are known for their resilience, agility, and affinity for ice and snow magic. Snow Elves originated in the Elgenwood to the South of Porenia.
Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Size: Snow Elves are about the same size as other elves, typically standing between 5 and 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Cold Resistance: You have resistance to cold damage.
Snow Adaptation: You are acclimated to cold climates. You can comfortably endure extreme cold weather conditions without suffering any ill effects.
Ice Magic: You have an innate ability to cast the "Frostbite" cantrip. Your spellcasting ability for this cantrip is Intelligence.
Snowstride: You can move across difficult terrain made of ice or snow without expending extra movement.
Winter's Veil: Once per long rest, you can cast the "Armor of Agathys" spell at its lowest level without expending a spell slot. When you cast this spell using this ability, the temporary hit points granted by it are equal to your character level + your Constitution modifier.
Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Elvish. Snow Elves have their own dialect of Elvish that incorporates words and phrases related to cold and snow.
