Lion's Peak

Lion's Peak is a geological structure along the southern border of the Great Colony. It is said to be home to a sphinx. Rumors have it that the area is cursed, and so visitors to Lion's Peak are few in number.

Geography

Lion's Peak sits atop the Cliffs of Archibald at the southwestern edge of Earth's Wrinkle, overlooking Slumberslosh Forest. It is surrounded by jagged hills and gnarled trees; the area immediately around Lion's Peak is viewed by many to be inhospitable to civilized people.
The rock structure itself got its name because its upper third has the uncanny appearance of a roaring lioness, as if it had been intentionally carved to look like a lion long ago. The rest of the structure is a more-or-less smooth pillar of rock.

Fauna & Flora

The outside of Lion's Peak is home to gnarled trees and few large animals. A pair of wyverns live atop the rock structure, generally making it impossible to climb to the lion head without being gobbled up. The inside of Lion's Peak is said to be home to a sphinx.
