Mother's Milk

A liquid secreted by a Black Goat of the Woods, a monstrous creation of Xub Niggurath. As large as an elephant, the Black Goat looks goat-like, except it has 8 legs, doubled up in what looks like a very clumsy and unarticulated way. It has no head (or even a defined front- or back-end), but a large, semi-inflatable organ on its back, with seven long, writhing appendages on the perimeter. In the center of this bloated organ is a mouth with long, needle-like teeth. A man-sized creature can be easily grabbed by the appendages and lifted into the gaping dorsal maw of this beast. Its gullet is five feet in diameter, the extra-dimensional stomach cavity can hold up to ten human-sized creatures. Mortal flesh takes 27 days to decompose here.
Raw Mother’s Milk - in its natural form, Mother’s Milk is a very dangerous, magical substance. It may cause damage or mutations on contact (roll on Corruption Table, d30 minus PC level). There are methods for consuming raw Mother’s Milk (see Magic-Users)
Ultimate Curative - drinking this potion (4 ounces) has a nearly instantaneous effect on the imbiber. One-Half of all lost HP (except those due to neo-radiation) are restored immediately, as wounds close up, scar over and begin to heal. This does leave substantial permanent scarring and discoloration. This potion will also kill any parasites or infections in the body, or render inert any poisons.
It will stop further damage from neo-radiation and begin the healing process. A second draught of the potion 18-24 hours after the first will heal one half of any HP lost to neo-radiation damage*. Drinking a double portion (8 ounces) will heal/reverse any Corruption Table results in 2-5 days*.
*Consuming Mother's Milk in this fashion will have an effect on the imbiber's digestive system, increasing its health and vitality. While it will cure ailments, it also causes rapid and significant weight gain. Drinking more than 4 ounces in any 48-hour period will cause weight gain of 5 pounds per week for d4+2 weeks. (Increased appetite and capacity for consuming food & drink) Drinking more Mother's Milk during this period will extend the duration of weight gain by 1-2 additional weeks (cumulative). This weight will appear first in the abdomen, then the thighs and upper arms will begin to expand, as fatty tissue grows in the musculature. If this weight gain continues for eight or more weeks, the victim of this growth will gain +1 STR, until the fat/weight is lost. When the period of weight gain is over, the digestive system will suffer a sort of 'collapse', and the weight will be lost again at a rate of 10 pounds per week until the victim has lost all of the weight gained and an additional 2d10 pounds. During this time of weight loss the character will feel mildly ill, experiencing a loss of appetite with occasional dizziness, and be -1 CON.
Avoiding the loss of CON and feelings of illness will require monthly doses of Mother's Milk, at least 4 ounces per dose.
