Ravenwing

The Anointed followers of Raven, goddess of Healing, Protection, Initiation, and Messengers are called the Ravenwing. As itinerant healers and surgeons, the Ravenwing travel about Laralla and Vorxiya as humble pilgrims. They tend to the sick and injured where they find them, with no expectation of payment or compensation.
They wear black tunics, black cloaks with deep hoods and are bedecked with copper wristlets and circlets decorated with a feather pattern. A crow skull, inlaid with copper and ebony or jet, in the form of an amulet hangs from a rawhide thong about their neck. These amulets figure heavily in their work as healers and surgeons. Male and female Ravenwing alike wear a fine cloth veil across their face, obscuring all but their eyes. From a distance a Ravenwing's eyes can be seen shining within the shadows of their hood, like the eyes of a cat.
Ravenwing magic is blood magic, generally drawn from the recipient himself, whether from the wound being treated or from cuts made for the purpose.
