Day of Trade

Here in the Kirinal Concordance Zone, a Day of Trade is a welcome respite from the vigil that we must otherwise maintain. On those days, we engage in trade with the world that has Manifested in the Kirinal Pit. Usually, there is travel through the Pit Wall as merchants and sightseers exchange goods or simply want to visit a friendly plane. Days of Trade can happen with a Signatory World that was expected or with a brand new world that has been deemed a suitable trading partner.

I, of course, prefer Days of War when we can test ourselves in battle against the best from other worlds! But like any good orc, I can relax with the best of them! On Trading Day I don't hit the Manifest's markets. I prefer to tour drinking establishments and the greasiest eating establishments that I can find! I've discovered that beer is a multiversal phenomenon! You should come see my collection of bottles from across the plane!

Days of Trade began shortly after the Disintegration of Kirinal destroyed Lost Kirinal and carved out a hole to the multiverse where it used to exist. Not every world that appeared in the Kirinal Pit was hostile. Most of the time they were just empty pieces of random planes in the multiverse.

Occasionally towns or cities would appear and the enterprising Kirinalos have always been eager to engage in commerce.

Once the Orrery of Worlds was built and the Pit was under a semblance of control, the Concordance for Survival began to make agreements with the worlds that Manifested therein.

The first agreement was with Faerie and the Great Market appears in the Pit every Sixth Day as a result. Afterward, they made trade agreements with Heaven and the Satraps of the Elemental planes. The Lords of Hell and Shadow sought trading accords of their own but those negotiations have been tricky.

The multitudes of Prime worlds that Manifest in the Pit have proven to be almost as dangerous as the randomness of Shatter. But a solution for that has been making Metropolis Manifest Treaties with suitable worlds. They are put on a schedule to appear every few years to Manifest for a Day of Trade.

I really love that Kill Flayer has a collection of beer bottles. That's so fun. I think I would love the Day of Trade. I would try all the different foods I could. :D

I definitely need to write about chefs in my world who make a point of learning as much about the cuisine of a culture as they can in a day!

What a telling piece that so many planes of existence can come to this arrangement. Very cool!
