Episode 12: Revelations in Greystone Report

General Summary

The H.C.S. Blackjack heads to Greystone Keep. Spark detects some Aleph Zero papers hidden in the delivery. The ship is approached by a red dragon, some mephits and birds. Harmony summons a fiendish griffon to engage the dragon and asks us to fend off the lesser beasts while crying how a dragon has been attacking shipments of the Beacon (why are we only learning this now...?). A ballista from stewie stork kills one mephit, but, when Lance prepares to shatter some more, a psychic voice cries for him to stop. The crew gathers something is amiss and some illusions are afoot. Spark parleys in draconic and they find this is a bronze dragon with faerie dragon and disguised faeries sent from Moon Breeze and the Heavenly Council of Ki-rins to stop delivery of the Beacon. Niamhi negotiates the end of hostilities in exchange for raising the slain faerie dragon and somehow using the Aleph Zero cursed ink to subvert the shipment of beacons. The crew then arrives at the tourney train and goes to talk to Nia's mother. She hits on Lance, opens up the liquor cabinet and explains she has set up a debutante ball for Nia's birthday to find her a rich husband. Nia's brother Nails explains the collateral for the party is the family's train car on the Tourney train. The possible husbands are children of the Lords of Greystone and are REQUIRED for any party to be a GREAT PARTY. Nia wants no part of this party, but Lance and Spark are motivated and begin plotting ways to engage Nia. Oh, also find out Nia had a twin sister who died, but the true story is a mystery surrounding her father.
