Frozen Expanse

The Frozen expanse is the area north of the Spine of the World. This area is made up of a sea of ice where plants do not grow. Temperatures are bitter cold reaching lows of up to -50F during the peak of winter. An active volcano, Mount Malice, exists within the region. The Mountain is surrounded by a natural barrier of ice which keeps the undead which are drawn to the area from plaguing the rest of Faerun.
