The City Which Lies Beneath
In all my times sailing on the seas
Never had I heard a tale as foreign as these
Tales which spoke of a city of splendor
Whose inhabitants ended up down under A city which was built to withstand
Was unknowingly built on unstable land
A city of trade, a city of gold
A city whose vaults doth treasure hold It was until that fateful day
That the city did slide into the bay
Taking with it, all it's inhabitants
Kicking up from below, a blood red sediment On moonless nights, some say there's a glow
From the tomb resting deep below
Keep your eyes stuck to the water
Else you could be next which is pulled down under None have claimed the cities' final resting place
But some have said they've recovered some trace
Finding treasure that has been bequeathed
