Korlech Mountain Range

Domain of Dragons

Placed toweringly above Draenea and the Mist-Aves, and watching over the southern portion of the Cohnar Valley, the Korlech Mountains are one of the most historically significant mountain ranges in Wulsten's history. To common folk it is known as an un-tameable wilderness gripped by frost and ravaged by dragons, but to those that inhabit it, it is known to be a complex region where tribal agreements, shows of force, age old tradition, and mystical forces cause many diverse creatures and people to live in uneasy co-existence.

Notably, the Korlech mountains are home to many powerful dragons, such as Alazor the Golden, and before his death, Firthir the Gate-Breaker. It was also once home to the human tribes who would go on to invade the Cohnar valley, and establish the many nations that now dwell there.

Geography

The mountains serve as a natural northern border to several nations that surround the Six-Winds Sea, as well as serving as a southern boundary to the geographic region known as the Cohnar Valley. They are shouldered to the East by the vast Leviathan Ocean, and give way in the west to the Endless Basin. 
In the Mist-Aves, there are two ranges of the Korlech mountains that diverge south, known collectively as The Knuckles, and individually known as The Skin (for the western of the two ridges) and The Bone (for the eastern of the two). The Knuckles surround Corona, the Capital of the Mist-Aves, as well as Cabochon Tarn.
