Roldkorfell
The Gemstone Mountains
Roldkorfell is the mythical home to the draconic pantheon. This realm serves as an afterlife to those who worship the divinities of dragonkind, whether they are good, evil, or in-between. Humanoids who worship the Dragon gods and prove themselves to be powerful and dynamic in life earn the respect of the Draconic deities, and are reborn as Dragons in Roldkorfell. Humanoids who prove unremarkable but decent remain as incarnations of themselves touched by draconic divinity, known as "Glory-watchers". Their form in the afterlife often appears as it did in life, but with draconic aspects like wings, patches of scales, sharp teeth, or serpent-like eyes. Those who are both unremarkable and craven in life, such as those who cower and grovel before others, or those who attempt to claim other's actions for their own glory, are reborn as Prey. They take the form of otherworldly creatures that are hunted down and consumed by dragons for sport. Though life as Prey is terrifying and tortured, they are not powerless creatures, as dragons would find it boring to hunt them. Dragons reborn into Roldkorfell are never reborn as Glory-watchers, but may be reborn as Prey if they lead particularly pitiful and unbecoming lives. Those who were especially righteous in life live on Diamstell, the Peak of Diamonds, a massive mountain stretching high into the sky, and the domain of Thermicles. Those who were especially devious and cruel in life live in the depths of Voamrayl, the Blood Caverns, where there are more prey than anywhere else, and especially evil dragons spend eternity feasting and destroying. Voamrayl is the domain of Ignisseus.
