Personal history

During the first years of her adulthood Yami had attended the Skyrn Academy of Illusion. She wasn't a model student by any means, but she wasn't failing either. When she asked her instructor about how she could make up for her recent poor performance he offered some field work for her. She agreed and set out to a cave between Skyrn and Adonia to extract some blood from a hibernating troll. She searched the cave for the troll, unable to find any sign of it, when she heard noise outside the cave. Investigating back towards the entryway she was instantly apprehended by the men who had been waiting for her to emerge. They stripped of her wizard book and locked her in a cage with magical barrier reinforcements along with cuffs of the same material.
Her cage thrown into the back of a wagon she encountered many other magic users thrown into a cage in the back of the carriage with her but they would always be offloaded before her. She spent months in the cage as they traveled detour after detour to capture then sell wizards and sorcerers all across Wyrloria. She couldn't get any information out of her captors other than overhearing something about her being special ordered by a bugbear who employs magic users into his rituals.
During their final journey towards Myringlad with Yami they decided to take the Merchant's Gamble mountain pass to try and shave off some weeks from their journey. Once about halfway through they decided to rest for the night in a valley that opened up in the mountains. One of the men displayed some worry about the cave entrance but was told not to worry about it. The peaceful silence of the night crumbled around Yami as she awoke to see an golem assaulting the camp. Before she could fully awaken and process what was happening it had turned towards her and begun trying to rip open the cage. Though monstrously strong, the golem was unable to pry open the bars of the magically reinforced metal. It dragged her cage into its den and tossed it to the side. Just when Yami had begun accepting her fate of starving to death within a golem lair, her brother Yato and the rest of his party found her with the aid of Yato's strange halfglaive leading the way to her. After defeating the golem, Yato's fel-fire infused blade was able to easily slice open Yami's cage and rescue her.
