Hector, the Grim Hound

Hector the Giant, also known as the Grim Hound, is one of the most mortal-involved of the The Lords and Ladies. Unlike most of his kind, who travel back and forth between the Material Plane and the Feywild, Hector has a permanent home in the Material plane.   Also unlike his kin, who prefer to act as deities, accepting tribute and worship and performing services for the people when their whims lead them in that direction, Hector has taken a very hands-on approach to his domain, by quite literally assuming lordship over The Demesne of Barrisea. He is involved in the day-to-day running of the country, while also accepting audience with supplicants and other interested parties.   He is often visited by the families of the dead, asking for the spirit of their loved ones to be blessed or protected. He is sometimes begged to restore life to someone, or to prevent the death of someone. He is approached by warlords asking for success in combat, and so on.   The Grim Hound is a towering, gaunt being with long, stringy black hair swept back away from his dark forehead. His face has rarely been seen, due to the fact that he wears during audiences a mask that earned him his namesake - the Grim Hound. Hector's demeanor is that of a very tired and resigned person. He is not unkind, but he is fair and his decisions are final.   In his demense, dogs are treated as sacred animals, and must be given preferential treatment by any who choose to care for them.     Pictured below is the Savage Wolf, Hector's right-hand man. He gathers abandoned bodies to prevent them from becoming undead. He is faster than the wind and can carry an entire battlefield of corpses within his mighty ropes. Once brought to Hector, they are laid to rest and sent to the underworld.
