Jagged Tooth
Most of the information know about The Barrens was from the travels of the great explorer, Felix Febdlesticks. Felix kept a meticulous journal, which included both written testimonies as well as sketches of the various places he travelled to. Of these sketches, the most striking was that of Jagged Tooth; a large stone monolith rising out of a small bowl of the plains.
Jagged Tooth is a large, granite monolith roughly tear-shaped. It's origin is a mystery, as Felix's journals reported it as granite, which is very unlike the sandstone found throughout the region, and the nearest source is in the Devil's Teeth Range, over 100 km away. Although many have speculated about it's origins, geologists have been unable to reach the site to confirm, due to the danger naturally associated with the Barrens. This mystery has further increased the appeal of this landmark, with many in Aedan and Estalia coming up with various theories for it's existence; ranging from underground hot zones to unknown ancient rituals to multi-dimensional visitors.
To the People of the Barrens, Jagged Tooth is a major landmark, and a popular visiting location. The tip of the tooth can be seen from 100 km away, and using it as a reference allows tribes to easily wayfind. As well, the bowl the tooth rests in naturally collects large amounts of rainwater, and is one of the main sources of water for both drinking and bathing.
