Scars of the Godswar

The battles completed by the Gods long before any told history was extremely destructive to the material plane. These fights left holes in the fabric of the world itself, creating many portals between it and other planes in the multiverse. Most of too small to be even noticed, but some can be large enough to be a hazard to anyone passing by. The divide between planes is still strong enough to prevent any physical movement between, but the energy found in these other areas can seep into the world and cause various effects upon it.
