Qualifications

Interested applicants must have the following skills in order to be considered for the position:

• The ability to read, write, and draw is necessary for this position. Multilingual is a plus!
• Applicants must have an advanced degree in geography, astrology and/or mathematics.
• Inquiring parties should know how to use a sextant, telescope, and compass.
• A love of travel and exploration is a must!

Job Description

The Shattering rendered all prior maps of the world useless, and as a result it is the goal of the Agency of Logistics and Statistics to update all world maps to accurately reflect the geological ramifications of that event. Teams are needed across the globe to gather information and document these changes or to verify previously completed maps for accuracy.
A cartographer is responsible for accurately measuring and documenting any and all features of the land, sea, and sky. Those who are acrophobic (heights), aquaphobic (water), navisphobic (boats), equinophobic (horses), entomophobic (bugs), zoophobic (animals), anemophobic (air), terraphobic (monsters), astraphobic (stars), claustrophobic (small spaces), or agoraphobic (large spaces) need not apply.
Employees of the Agency of Logistics and Statistics will travel as a team to map target areas. Cartographers are expected to accurately measure and document assigned areas, and can include physical maps, topographic maps, road maps, property surveys, and political maps.
There are currently openings in the Bureau of Space and Sky, the Offices of Urban Development, the Department of Maritime Management, the Kononoi Crown Real Estate Division, and the Catastrophe Continental Survey Revision Services (CCSRS) Team.
