Depth Torch

Created by the rare Arachnai people who dwell in underground enclaves throughout northern Xalendria, depth torches are often the only illumination available in the tunnels the spiderfolk inhabit. They glow with a cool, white light that never flickers or fades unless commanded to. Once lit, depth torches cannot be doused by mechanical means.

Depth torches can be made of stone, wood, or even metal, and can look wildly different depending on where they were made and stylistic preference of the maker. The only constant component of depth torches are Arachani silk that is spun with the intention of being used in a torch, and that intention is what enchants the torches.
