Prospero

A human wizard of old. At the height of Prospero's power, he possessed a Gnarled Staff that he could use as an arcane focus to manipulate the oceans and bind Wild Spirits to his service. Near the end of his life, Prospero broke the staff in twain and left it on the shore of the island in which he lived. It is entirely unknown where either half of his staff now resides; though some archaeologists and researchers have attempted to reclaim them as they believe rejoining the halves would allow the staff's wielder to possess the same power that Prospero wielded in his time. While Prospero never revealed how he acquired the staff, its power seemed to be directly tied to The Tempest in origin.
